Comment (Reserve-Resource): A 1990 report details many exploration targets for orebodies. (Sunshine files)

Comment (Geology): Ibex #4 fault vein (one of the longest and best mineralized in the district) passes through the mine area. Massive replacement deposits of magnetite-specularite are also present.

Comment (Location): Hopemore shaft is 800 feet NW of Ibex #4 shaft, about 2-1/2 miles east of Leadville, in SE/4 SE/4 sec 20 T 9 S, R 79 W.

Comment (Names): Different from the Comstock mine about 1 mile to the south on Whites Hill.

Comment (Reserve-Resource): About 121,000 tons of proven and probable reserves, grading 0.18 oz/ton gold, 8.63 oz/ton silver, 3.98% lead, 12.2% zinc, and 0.35% copper are reported. (Sunshine files, 1992)

Comment (Commodity): Iron occurs as masssive replacement deposits of magnetite skarn in Leadville Limestone.
